Room 323 [Sunday, Afternoon]
With Christmas done and past, there didn't seem to be a hell of a lot going on around here, as far as she could tell. Few days until New Year's, and that trip, and a shitload of empty space to fill until then. Going out was her typical fallback at times like this, but you couldn't do that sort of thing all the time. Unfortunately. It would've been nice, having just one simple thing to think about. Never seemed to be the way things worked out, did it?
Spending her afternoon reading and idly blowing smoke rings out her window was a secondary option. She'd decided a long time ago that classic literature was more fun when there was alcohol or drugs involved. Pity that philosophy never got her by in classes.
[[and her door and this post are open. I have a day off and a bunch of free time to fill]]

Wasn't quite a denial, was it? Benefit of their positions, he couldn't really see how she reacted that well. Had her rather well pegged in many respects.

"No wonder you never tell me," he said, sarcasm creeping into his voice. "You let me go on and on and just think me childish. It's good of you to be fucking honest for once."
He tugged her back against him, keeping her back pressed against his front by wrapping one arm tightly around her and planting the other on the door beside her for balance.
"That doesn't change the fact that you're afraid," he told her, smiling thinly. "Even a child can see that."
no subject
"Was always fucking brilliant at hide and seek." Specifically the 'hiding' part. Which was calling back to his original claim, rather than following their current thread. Who needed linear conversation anyway?
no subject
"The hiding part, that I can believe," he told her, brushing some hair back from her ear and circling the lobe with his tongue. "But I bet you're shit at seeking. Doubt you'd even fucking try."
Alex didn't know exactly where this was all going now but stopping hadn't entered his mind. "And guess what? I can hide too. Take what you know already and enjoy it. I'll keep my childish wants to myself."
no subject
"Didn't say I had a problem with you knowing what you want," she pointed out, holding where she was and glancing over her shoulder. She'd never been a straightforward, 'say it as you want' sort of girl, but it wasn't like she particularly begrudged it in him.
no subject
Which, he didn't particularly want to but it was exactly that, a mind game mingled with sex that seemed to come up a lot with them.
"Started out like that," he added, shrugging and sliding his tongue along the back of her shoulder. "Easy to go back to it."
Yeah, right.

Now he was pushing a little but he didn't care. It was a mind game now, different from when he usually asked how she felt. He could still get information but he was just trying to tangle her up in knots in a way she did to him typically.
no subject
Again with the maybe. It made it easier to throw out admissions like that if she tagged a bit of doubt into the equation.
no subject
He knew that tactic by now and if she was going to throw out stuff like that with a 'maybe' tacked on, he was going to respond in kind.
no subject
"I don't want to go back," she repeated finally, quieter this time. But she did at least sound sure.
no subject
"Wanna go home?" he asked, taking advantage of...whatever advantage he had and using it to see how far she could be pushed. "Wanna go somewhere else?"
He focused on where neck met spine, pressing kisses there and interspersing it with flicks of his tongue.
no subject
Which was quite an admission for her, a girl who liked her control, or at least, liked the image of all-knowing control.
no subject
"Maybe I'll make you do some seeking for awhile," he said, throwing out that little challenge without hesitation. "Hiding seems to be working out for you. Pretty sure I wanna do it too."

"Should be able to figure it out on your own," he added, lowering himself to a knee to get his mouth on her stomach. Knew that was sensitive.
no subject
"I will," she muttered, tracing the edge of his ear with her fingertip. If he was going to be there, within her reach, she was going to touch, and move her hands lightly down his neck, over his shoulders and back up again.
no subject
After that, he was just going to keep his eyes steadily on hers. Just going to watch and stare and look. Keep quiet and see how long she was able to do that without looking away.
"You don't even know what you're looking for," he finally said, half smiling.
no subject
If she didn't, there was always the chance he'd forget he made that challenge before then. Never knew your luck. Hers was normally fairly shit in that respect, but still.
no subject
What he meant there, she could figure out for herself. Or not. It was interesting, the shit that was going on in his head right now and he had no idea what to do with it all. He wanted her to fix it but he didn't want her to see.
no subject
"Sounds like that's what you want," she noted, finally, briefly, glancing down and away.
no subject
"Asking me to leave?" Alex asked, staying close to her but not trying to force her to look at him.
no subject
"Told you what I wanted," she pointed out, and it wasn't some deeply confusing argument which she wasn't even entirely sure was about.
no subject
It was second nature and it was hard to change. Something she should know a little bit about.
no subject
"You were the one talking about leaving." She didn't want that, no. They'd left it on these sort of terms before now, and she fucking hated every minute of it... But at the same time, she wasn't really sure what he wanted from her. Avoiding that wasn't as easy as it seemed.
