Truth be told, he'd been wondering if she'd take the bait since he'd been prepared to take the IOU and go back to his room if she stayed her hand.

Of course, that all went out of mind when she kissed him and he stopped walking then, fingers uncurling from her shirt to get around her again and yank her closer. She didn't want soft kisses, he could do harsh and hard.

One way of stopping him from leaving, wasn't it? Effy was well aware that this sort of thing was anything but boring to him.

She finally let go of his shirt as he yanked her in, only to grab at his shoulder to hold herself there.

This sort of thing was far from boring when it was done right and he knew she could do it right. One of the reasons he kept coming around.

Grateful that he hadn't gotten very far in his journey to her door, he started walking back towards her bed now, happy enough with the rough kissing and her hands but already wanting more, honestly.

He kept one hand on her back and the other one curled around the back of her neck, pulling her back with him as he moved and keeping her pressed tight against him.

Strange, how that one little action could spur him into a positive spin so successfully. That thought made her grin a little, even if she countered that show biting his lower lip.

Moving with him was almost automatic at this point, and she was pretty sure this meant she was getting to keep that IOU. Win for her.

Taking away her coveted IOU wasn't on his mind anymore and that was her fault. So, yeah, win for her but win for him because he'd gotten what he wanted out of the deal.

His reaction to her biting his lip was to tighten the hand around her neck, nails digging into her skin just slightly, just to show that he could do things like that too.

As they sort of stumbled backwards, he turned them so her back was facing the bed and stopped once they'd bumped against that bed again, content to stay there for a moment longer and kiss her some more.

Feeling his nails digging into her skin was going to do nothing but spur her on, stopping when he did and deepening their kiss.

She could wait a minute, if this was the way of spending that time.

He eventually did pull away from that kiss, taking a moment to catch his breath before attempting to talk.

"Get on the bed," he said, voice rough from all that and not even caring that it was an order. Courtesies were for pansies.

And at times like this, Effy was actually willing to do what she was told. Always with a smirk, just to prove she was doing it because she wanted to. But did it all the same.

She was going to try and keep a hold on Alex while she did it, to pull him down with her.

She was just lucky he wasn't feeling really evil and didn't resist only to take the IOU and run. That would have been stupid but funny. He didn't do that though.

Alex let her pull at him, climbing onto her bed after she did and reaching to kiss her again.

Good job Effy was fairly damn sure he didn't want to resist this. Confidence in this case, that was apparently well placed.

As soon as he was close enough she wrapped a leg around him, giving that little bit more leverage to push up against him.

So, her roommate could quite easily walk in on this. Did she really care about that? Not at all.

It wasn't like they hadn't had that happen before. Griff was a little less flaily than Edward (and it was amazing that that was possible) so any interruptions would be amusing, at least.

Encouraged by that leg she had around him, he pressed closer, hips against hips for the moment and paid her back for earlier by biting her lower lip sharply.

Trouble was, Edward was far more likely to try and pull a sword on Alex for it. To protect the innocence of his roommate and all.

Still, she was hardly going to be thinking about something like that right now, and sucked in a quick excited breath as he bit.

Innocence, right! Of course! Because purity was such a trademark of hers. He would rather avoid the sword though. Didn't need to get run through with one of those.

That breath didn't escape his notice and he flicked his tongue out, ran it over the spot he'd just bitten, and then smiled smugly at her because he could.

Maybe it should be perceived innocence. She didn't really need saving from this, in her opinion.

Only way to really get that smug look off his face was to lean right up an kiss him again. If nothing else, she wouldn't be able to see how smug he was.

Better than nothing.

He'd just show her how smug he was later. Like he'd forget that.

Alex got a knee beside her hip, giving himself some leverage and reached down to tug at her shirt. If she wasn't going to let him be smug, he was going to that kiss harsh, rough and sharp. And he was going to do that while tugging at her shirt.

Not one to be outdone, Effy curled her fingers harder into his shoulder, and... sort of helped with the shirt situation by arching away from the bed.

With the additional fun of being pressed up against him. Less helpful. Whatever. It felt good, and she didn't care much about anything else right now.

Alex yanked on her shirt this time, pulling it up even if he didn't want to stop kissing her which made actually getting the shirt off a little harder.

He knew he was going to make that decision shortly but, until then, he'd just hike the shirt up some and get his other hand on her stomach to drag his nails across.

She wasn't exactly making the clothing removal easy for him, but give it a minute and she'd want to get rid of some more as much as he did.

For now, it was just overridden by not really wanting to stop what she was doing, and an automatic instinct to hold on tight and try not to let her breath hitch too much as he pulled those nails across her skin. No need to make him any more smug.

Alex gave up on the shirt for the moment, letting it stay pulled up enough that he could pull away from kissing her only because he wanted to put his mouth on that skin he had exposed.

His mouth followed the path his hands had just taken, tongue flicking out as he did before getting to one side of her waist and dragging his tongue from waist up along her ribs and back down again.

That target of keeping her breath steady? Not going to last when he was doing that. A little frustrating.

For her part, if she wanted skin, she was going to have to stick with running her fingers across the small amount she could reach around his collar, neck, the back of his head.

He lived to be frustrating. And he lived to knock her out of that perfect little zone she liked to put up too. He slowly swiped a hand across her stomach, watching his fingers pass over skin before lowering his head again and following it with his mouth.

This time, when he got to her side, he bit her, worrying the skin between his teeth and giving her one of a few (if he had his way) nice little marks to take home with her. Like an American souvenir!

One she probably wouldn't be showing to her parents when they picked her up from the airport, as nice as he might think they are.

For now, she'd let him do it, while she crept her hands down his back to try and draw his shirt up, however slowly.

He had plans to make more in other places so maybe she'd get lucky yet with showing some souvenirs off to her parents. Alex was confident she could come up with a good story or two.

Finished with that for the moment, he dragged his mouth back across her stomach, tracing his tongue around her navel before getting to the other neglected side of her. Another bite, this time less sharp but held longer and see, now there were two of them.

Matching pair. Very artistic of him. Might have to give him a few marks of her own, fun payback for leaving them all over her nice smooth skin.

Meanwhile, finally inched his shirt up enough to be able to spread her fingers across his back, and make the most of having that bit more skin to touch.

And it'd be such a fun form of payback to receive, he was sure. Since he still couldn't really get her shirt off without just ripping it off her, he crawled back up, close enough to kiss her again and even managing to grin at her before doing that.

One hand went back to trying to work her shirt up and off, not willing to give that up entirely. And if he pressed his hips into hers while doing that, well, it was her fault, she'd encouraged him with the hands on his back.
