Tonight's election wasn't something Effy could say she was particularly invested in. Wasn't like she was in the country, and she couldn't think it was going to affect her much here.

Besides, they all talked complete shit most of the time anyway. Politicians for you.

And yet... Stretched out on her bed, laptop on, with the BBC website in the background as she threw the odd IM back and forth with Tony. He could vote, that was her reasoning for why it apparently meant more to him.

"Keeping sex to yourself is selfish," Alex chided, shaking his head at that. "Now, if you wanted to go at it alone and let me watch, I think I could be okay with that."

"Oh, I'm sure you would." Because... look, it was Alex. "Maybe you'd learn a thing or two.'

Not that he really needed to, if the reactions he could pull out of her were anything to go by. But there was the opening to tease right there.

"You implying I've got things to learn?" Alex asked, raising an eyebrow at that. "I don't think there's anything that you could do on your own that I couldn't do with my hands. And my fingers are longer."

"Really don't think watching wouldn't give you any extra insight," Effy wondered, idly dragging her finger up to his earlobe and back down again. "Nothing at all..."

"Maybe you could show me a thing or two." That admittance right there was fairly big considering he thought he knew everything. Maybe it was because she was touching him and he was leaning into her hand.

"You learn anything when you watched me?" Alex asked.

Not so hard to encourage him to agree with her, was it?

Effy twitched a small smile. "Everyone's got something. Little thing that just hits it right." Which could be a 'yes'. "Who's gonna know what that is better than them?"

Apparently he was just feeling especially agreeable today. Alex could agree with that but he couldn't very well tell her she was right. "And here I thought I did you just right every time you let me. Never heard you complain before."

"Didn't say you did anything wrong," she pointed out. Which he didn't. Fucking good at what he did. Which didn't mean there wasn't always room to learn a little more.

"You know you're good." There was no doubt that he could feel just how good from the way she reacted. Not exactly a secret.

"I am good." Always nice to have the skills to back the ego up. Wouldn't have done any good if he was a lot of bluster and no talent.

"There something you think I should know?" he asked, reached across to slide the backs of his knuckles down the side of her neck. "Something I should learn?"

"Do you some show and tell sometime," she promised, smirking even as she tipped her head, stretching so his fingers had more space to move.

"Since apparently you'd be 'okay' with that."

"How very educational of you. You're so giving," Alex said, nodding his approval of that idea while his fingertips traced a path against her skin lightly.

"And don't act like me watching you wouldn't turn you on too," Alex had to say.

"Right. Got to remember who I'm talking to," she said, shaking her head, amusement evident even with her eyes closed as she enjoyed that touch. "You can just make a girl come with the power of your gaze." Probably was Alex's preferred superpower.

"You know, that's something I've never tried," he admitted, pulling his hand away only so he could lean forward more (benefits of being tall, thank you) and replace his fingers with his lips.

Of course, that meant the next words got pretty much said into her skin. "Maybe I'll try it sometime. I am pretty interactive though. Nothing better than touching. And watching you come is pretty fucking hot anyway."

"Would you be able to keep your hands off," Effy commented, disguising a quiet sigh with talk "--is the question."

Why she was voicing that when the chances were he'd take it as a challenge, she didn't really know. She liked his hands and lips all over her. A lot. A whole lot, even.

It was a compulsion.

Truth be told, he didn't really know if he could keep his hands to himself. He really did like touching and he liked touching her in particular. There was a reason why he tended to start touching her as soon as he got around her.

"I think I could resist touching you, if there was an incentive," he finally said, lips brushing her jaw and then up to her cheek and the corner of her mouth. "If there's no incentive, I'm not going to stop touching you."

I don't want to stop touching you went unsaid.

Truth was, she probably wouldn't make any real incentive. For reasons this little display of enjoyment of his touch probably illustrated oh so clearly.

"Not just to demonstrate your powers?" she murmured. "Shame." Except that this would do nicely instead, thank you.

"I think I could be happier demonstrating other powers of mine," Alex said, moving to kiss the other corner of her mouth, slide his lips down to the line of her jaw. "Other powers that involved touching and kissing and skin."

Effy smiled under his lips, toying with his collar as she considered diving into a little more of that touching herself. "Bringing out those already, are you?" Felt like it.

Notice she wasn't giving much of an objection here.

"That depends," he mumbled, finally picking himself up off the floor so he could crawl onto her bed and get closer to her. "Are they working?"

Yes. Oh, yes they were.

But yes was a bit of a straightforward answer for Effy, so she stayed silent and let her actions in pulling him closer and pressing a light kiss of her own to his lower lip answer that for him.

She probably wasn't too hard to decipher in that.

"Hi there," Alex said, murmuring that while she kissed him. He scooted closer, working one of his legs around one of hers and winding an arm around her. Close was good, closer was even better.

"Floor's only good for so many things," he explained of his movements. "Demonstration of superpowers isn't one of them."

"Don't know," Effy noted, drawing two fingers down his neck and shifting herself closer now there was a nice warm body there to lie up against. "Done it before." And it certainly hadn't been anything close to bad.

"That's true, you're not wrong," Alex said, smirking across at her. He pressed his face against her neck and took a few deep breaths, letting himself enjoy the soft comfort here. "But, usually we're both on the floor to make that happens. Not all the parts fit if it's just me. I'd have to be pretty damn flexible."

"Don't think even you're that good," she teased in his ear. Which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Might not be getting this, which as much as she might deny it out loud, she'd miss if she lost it.

"I think I might hurt myself if I tried," he said, turning his head and pressing a kiss to her temple softly. "And then who would you share all that sex with?"
