Room 323 [Saturday, Afternoon]

By mid-afternoon, it was getting a little too hot for her very pale British self to be anywhere outside (even if it was alligator free, now), so Effy was in the dorms, and in true antisocial spirit, in her own room. She hadn't honestly spent all that much time there since moving out of the cabins, so it was probably about time.

The door was open, which either showed some vague social improvement on her part, or possibly just that she was hoping for a bit of a breeze while she finally got around to unpacking properly. Probably the latter.

Anyway, there was that, and she was even occasionally pausing to get lost in her music for a minute. It was entirely possible she was happy in a less than natural sort of way.

It was a weekend, was there really any better way to spend her time?

"You're good enough," he said truthfully. He could do that sometimes. Imagine that. "I'm just not clapping like trained seal for you."

"Aw. That was gonna be my next request," she said sarcastically, even if the complement in there did get a bit of a smile out of her.

"You must have been really damn deprived as a kid if the best you can think of is circus sideshow acts," he decided. "Maybe I thought you were good enough."

"Can't go taking back your approval now," she told him. "It's already out there."

"Oh, too bad, I took it back," he said and shrugged. "I was wrong about you. It happens. Sometimes I'm wrong."

"I'll have to remember that little bit of information next time you try to claim you know something," she decided. Always happy to take advantage. Isn't she sweet?

He slanted a glance at her before saying, "Why don't you entertain me? You're so keen on me entertaining you, let's see what you can do."

"Because that wasn't our deal," Effy replied. "And I am definitely not drunk enough to do it out of the kindness of my heart."

"I wasn't aware there was any sort of deal going on here," he said, looking around. "I was aware of you asking and me answering. Tell me why I should entertain you if you want it that badly."

"You," she said, reaching to tap his chest illustratively. "Said pick one, and you'd do it. There's gotta be a deal in there somewhere."

That was a reason to her.

"I," he said, looking down at that finger on his chest before looking back up at her, "said pick one and I'd see about it. I never said I'd do it."

Semantics.

"You," he said and mimicked her movement by poking her chest, "have picked shitty things."

"So. Pick something good," she challenged.

"I didn't think you were up for entertaining," he reminded her. "Or this is you wanting me to pick my own fate?"

"I was thinking the 'pick your own' route," she answered. "Since you think my choices are shit."

"Oh, I don't think it, I know it," he said and shook his head. "Circus sideshow acts. Juggling, magic, singing, dancing. Shiiiiiiit."

At least he thought so.

"I could...go through your stuff," he said, looking around at the boxes. "I bet you've got lots of fun things in there."

"If you're into women's clothes," she answered with a bit of a smile. And probably an excessive amount of alcohol, amongst other such things.

"That your kink?"

"Wearing them myself? No." He shook his head. "On women? Yes. Off women and on the floor? Yes. Amongst other kinks."

Effy smirked, nodding towards one of the boxes. "Go on then," she said. "Have a ball. I'd rather you didn't try wearing them anyway."

"I'm not unpacking for you," he said dryly. "I was kidding. If I open that box, I'm dumping the shit on the ground and leaving it like that."

"And you said my choices were crap," she said, shaking her head and leaning back on her hands again. "You won't even do your own."

"Do you want me to dump your shit on your floor?" he asked, sliding over to one of the boxes. "Because, I'm fine with that."

"Want is a strong word," Effy answered, watching him. "But I gotta take everything out of the sodding things anyway." She shrugged.

"Break anything and you're in shit."

"I really don't think you could do anything to me," he said, tearing open the top of one box, taking a quick look and dumping it on the floor.

See, just like he said.

"Okay, that is kind of fun." Wasn't his stuff, after all.

Effy was fairly sure she could if she put her mind to it, but kept her mouth shut. He'd only deny it, she was sure.

"Been a while since you stabbed anyone with stationary," she pointed out. "Probably got a bit of excess aggression to get out."

"I've been finding other outlets for my aggression," he said, shrugging and reaching for another box. He tore it open and dumped the contents, kicking lightly with one foot. "And it means less people crying in my face because 'ow ow my hand is bleeding!' or something like that."
